Texture refers to the surface quality of an object - how it feels or appears to feel (rough, smooth, bumpy, soft, hard, etc.). In art, texture can be:
a. Actual texture: Real surface quality you can touch
b. Visual texture: The illusion of texture created through drawing and painting techniques
c. Patterns and marks that suggest different surface qualities
