The Bantu people migrated from the Congo Basin, which is in Central Africa.

This migration happened a long time ago as they moved in search of:

- Fertile land for farming

- Water

- Better living conditions

- Peace (to escape conflicts)

As they moved, they settled in many parts of Eastern Africa, including Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.
